In honor of what would’ve been Miss Norma Jean’s 91st birthday this June 1st, I put together some of her best and most recognizable outfits. While Marilyn looked fabulous in everything she wore, these are are especially fabulous!

6. We’re now getting down to the gown portion of our post! These fabulous matching red sequined gowns designed by William Travilla were worn in the 1953 movie Gentlemen Prefer Blondes by Marilyn and her co-star Jane Russell.

4. This pink beauty is another one of the many William Travilla designed dresses that Marilyn has worn. Worn in the 1953 movie Gentlemen Prefer Blondes during her Diamonds Are A Girl’s Best Friend number.

2. The “Ballerina” series is one of Milton & Marilyn’s most recognized collaborations and was created in October of 1954 at his New York studio. Marilyn was in New York for the opening of the Seven Year Itch. Designer Anne Klein sent various outfits for Marilyn to wear, however all were 2 sizes too small, so the poses in this sitting amusingly deal with her problem of holding up the ill-fitting tulle and satin dress. 1. Finally! Another gorgeous Travilla designed dress, it’s the most iconic dress Marilyn Monroe ever wore. The image is from the 1955 movie The Seven Year Itch and the dress even has it’s own Wikipedia page!

I’m a sucker for any shows or movies that incorporate time travel. Especially time travel with cute outfits from all different eras! I recently binge watched Timeless. On NBC, the show just wrapped up it’s first season.
When an experimental time machine is stolen, a history professor, a soldier and an engineer are tasked with capturing the culprit only to learn that he plans to rewrite American history and that each of them has a connection to his plan as well as the mysterious organization that funded the machine’s development.
The history professor, Lucy Preston, is played by Abigail Spencer and she’s whose fashion I am always excited to see. They’ve traveled from 1754 to 1983 and everywhere in between.

I have thick, curly hair that I inherited from my father. My mother had medium weight straight hair so she just didn’t know what to do with it when I was a kid, so she decided to cut it short into a sort of Q-Tip mullet that I had frequently trimmed and blown out just like Tony Manero.
I let my hair grow long as I got older but I never really learned how to do it and sometimes I just want to live naturally and free and rock a white girl fro. I dig it, man. I dig it.
